He agreed to the struggle put in by the modern day women to show that she also has to put up valiant efforts to compete for success in her career. “Cashmere Mafia” depicted the desperate efforts put in by modern day career women to succeed in their career front, as well as successful homemakers.

It’s too late to look for reasons behind cancellation of “Cashmere Mafia” television series but to catch up with its episodes is still an option for its fans. If we start finding flaws nothing is perfect in this world. Irrespective of its minor faults, Cashmere Mafia was definitely an out of the world experience. I loved this woman centric TV, show. OH! So frankly speaking even if I assume role of a critic, I will not be able to find many faults in the storyline of Cashmere Mafia.

Hey guys. Yesterday I was going through my collection of favorite episodes of the Cashmere Mafia tv show. While watching the final episode of the series Dog Eat Dog, I thought of sharing my ideas about the episode with you. This episode was aired on 20^th February2008 and was the third most watched episode of the series. In this episode a charming multi-billionaire pursues Juliet with an unknown intention. Caitlin faces the risk of losing her job when her boss pressurizes her to create an immense publicity campaign for the Fashion Week. Mia is attracted to a stray dog whom she wants to adopt, but is highly disappointed when she fails the ownership test for pet adoption. Meanwhile, Zoe, who has recently become unemployed, makes great efforts to be a perfect mother.

I think the episode apart from being well written was also very well pictured. What I liked most was the revelation of the softer side of Mia, who has always been presented as a powerful woman with unrealistically stylish clothes. The other good part of the episode was Zoe not giving in to Clayton’s request for help. While Juliet always comes across as a gorgeous lady and a strong business woman, it was good to watch how Caitlin came up with various good ideas for the fashion week. Overall, it was a another enjoyable episode in which I could plunge into the character’s lives. It is really sad that the series saw only one season of seven episodes. The overall plot of the series was truly unique where four ambitious women who have been best friends for a long time join hands to form a boys club of their own. The series had great potential, covering the lives of the four, who try to balance the complexities in their lives with their glamorous and demanding careers.

It seems surprising that a series ran for a single season and it aired only seven episodes. I really got saddened when ABC announced their 2008-09’s schedule and ‘Cashmere Mafia’ was nowhere on the list. Why? This word hit my mind when I first read the official statement made by the network representatives. But things got very clear to me just after two seconds and I found the answer myself.

The only reason behind this cancellation is, poor ratings. What do these poor ratings matter? I mean, plot was good, presentation was also good and I must say, it was much better than lots of shows being aired nowadays. But ABC decided to get rid of the series and they did it.

We last watched ‘Cashmere Mafia’ on Feb. 20, 2008 and the season finale was entitled ‘Dog Eat Dog’. In this season finale, we saw Juliet who’s pursued by a charming multi billionaire as he had set his eyes on her company and business. Caitlin’s boss pressurized her to produce a big publicity splash during the Fashion week. Mia fell for a dog and its’ not easy for her to pass the ownership test for its adoption. It’s apparent that Cashmere Mafia is out of run so its’ star-cast has started to move to another TV shows. The name on the top of the list is, Lucy Liu as she has joined the sexy ladies on ‘Dirty sexy Money’.

Cashmere Mafia has been cancelled just after the first season and not a single hope of its retrieval… Only seven episodes were aired during its run and the bad ratings throughout the season led it to cancellation. However, the plot was fantastic and it was a very well presented series based upon the ever-changing as well as hard lives of four women residing in New York City. ABC network decided not to renew the show and they put it to an end just after seven episodes. I am not sure, but I think its’ the shortest TV series which got canceled after just seven episodes. Well, it’s over so now we can see our favorite stars appearing on other TV shows. Fans of Lucy may cheer up as their heart-throb will be seen on ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ very soon and this update will help the series to get lot sexier. Although, no body revealed her role specifications, but still I am sure that she’ll definitely shake things up.

This lady is in negotiations for her role and if things turn out well, we’ll see her in the second season of show. What she’s supposed to play? I think, she’ll be a replacement for Samarie Armstrong, playing Juliet Darling on series as she’s not appearing in the next season of series.

What does she play? It’ll be brought out very soon. As of now, the good thing is that we can see our favorite ‘Cashmere Mafia’ star once again.

Another show on women power????? If you think about it like that, then probably you are right. The show is basically about these four girl friends, who create their own “boys club”, the Cashmere Mafia, to discuss their problems, and help each other out, in whatever way they can. These women are basically trying to make it big in the New York city, but they find it difficult to make a balance between their high profile career, and their personal lives. For which they generally depended on each other, discussing and sharing everything, to make life a bit easy and relaxing for themselves.

The show has been taken as a cult between all time favorite series like “Sex and the City” and “Desperate Housewives”. With four women as leading ladies and stories which focus on sex, friendship and love. All these are very successful in their professional lives, but can’t handle their personal lives.

Though the show actually tries to make a different appeal from the rest by discussing issues like gender rivalry or successful family/business management and even the lesbian issue was taken up in the series, still it wasn’t able to get up to the expectations of its viewers.

Despite all its efforts, the series was not well received and the ABC, decided to call off the series after its first season. Series had received a bit of mixed response, with most of it in negative. In general its viewers did not find the storyline catchy enough to hold the interests of its viewers.

The series had a bad storyline; it suffers from stereotypes and a pretty clumsy execution of a concept that might look promising on paper.

The viewers found that there was no chemistry between the characters and that was a negative point about the series.

Even some were of the view that men on the series were totally outcaste and that it would have been good to see them in some action.

Though various real life issues were being discussed in the show, but probably they were not well handled.

All in all, the series was not well received and the realization was made by the ABC, too, so they called off the series, after its first season. While everyone was of the view that a lot of improvement was needed into the series.

Juliet is played by Miranda Otto. She finds herself in trouble from all the side. With a husband having an affair and a daughter who is a complete rebel.

Caitlin is played by Bonnie Sommerville. Who out of a blue realizes that her interests are not normal, and the person she would like to spend her life with, might be a woman.

The series was first aired on ABC, from January 6, 2008 – February 20, 2008. Only one season was produced in which seven episodes were telecasted, after which the series was called off, for various reasons.

Caitlin and her new girlfriend, Alicia, surprise their friends when they announce that they’ve taken their relationship to a new level. Alicia surprises her by telling her that she wants to raise a baby.The series ended on a very abrupt note, with no solution to anyone’s problems.
